Summer Camp 2025 – Registration procedure

This year, the extracurricular service is once again looking forward to seeing S1 to S3 pupils from 23 June to 3 July 2025 for Summer Camp or from 23 to 27 June 2025 for a Mini Summer Camp!

Programme :

A one-week adventure packed with action and discovery!
Kids will enjoy climbing, sports, pump track, parkour, and an epic paintball session — the perfect mix of thrill and teamwork.

A full-on adventure of movement, challenge, and fun!
Over two exciting weeks, children will explore a wide range of sports: wrestling, bootcamp, athletics, boxing, self-defense, rugby, ping-pong, taekwondo, baseball, kickboxing, basketball… and that’s just the beginning!

They’ll also experience pump track riding, try out parkour, climb during indoor climbing sessions, cool off at Aqualibi, and enjoy an adrenaline-filled day of paintball.

And to top it all off, they’ll take part in the Olympiads — a dynamic mix of physical and brain-teasing challenges that encourage teamwork and perseverance.

For children who love to create, express themselves, and explore their imagination!
This camp includes painting, visual arts, art yoga, and relaxing yoga sessions, as well as a fun introduction to parkour.

A creative and inspiring environment where each child is encouraged to explore their artistic side while having fun.

For confident English speakers with a passion for the stage!
This fully immersive camp offers theatre workshops in English, alongside sports, parkour, and a thrilling paintball outing.

The experience will end with a live performance in English — a moment of pride for all young performers!

Improvise, create, and shine on stage!
Children will explore the world of theatre and improvisation in French, with additional sports, parkour, and a high-energy paintball activity.

The camp will conclude with a final performance in front of family and friends — a memorable and rewarding experience!

Children will dive into the exciting world of video game programming and electronics. To keep both body and mind active, the camp also includes sports sessions and an introduction to parkour throughout the week.

Morning sessions: Gaming – Video Game Programming
Are you interested in designing classic 2D games or immersive 3D worlds? Welcome to the exciting world of video game creation with Godot Engine!
Godot offers a wide range of features and is your go-to tool whether you’re a budding developer or already experienced.
With Godot, you can easily share your creations with friends or even gamers worldwide.
You’ll learn how to code using GD Script, a language very similar to Python. Godot is the perfect platform to develop valuable programming skills and bring your game ideas to life.

Afternoon sessions: Micro:bit & Electronics
The BBC Micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer that introduces how software and hardware work together. It includes LED lights, buttons, sensors, and I/O functions that, when programmed, allow it to interact with the world around it.
The newest Micro:bit version includes a microphone, speaker, extra touch input, and a power button.
During this part of the camp, you’ll develop exciting Micro:bit projects, explore sensors, and discover a new library that will help you better understand electronic circuits, connected devices, and Python-based electronics programming.

Educational Goals

  • Explore different libraries and how to use them

Please ensure that you make this transfer within 2 weeks, otherwise your place will no longer be guaranteed. We will not send out payment reminders.

IMPORTANT: families who are not APEEE members in 2024-2025:

Families who are not APEEE members for the current school year must first apply for the 2024-2025 membership fee before registering to the Summer Camp.

Payment of the membership fee is a prerequisite for participation in the Summer Camp. It is a condition of access to APEEE services. Any family in default of payment will have its order refused.

Please note: places are limited to 178 (164 for the 9-day Summer Camp and 14 for the 5-day Mini Summer Camp).

Registration is on a “first-come, first-served” basis! Beyond 178 places, the status of the following orders will be “on a waiting list “. We will contact you if a place becomes available.

Once payment has been made, you will receive an email confirming your child’s Summer Camp registration.

  • Cancellation policy:

Registrations are strictly nominative; therefore, it is not possible to transfer a place attributed to one pupil to another.

The APEEE reserves the right to cancel a camp if there are insufficient numbers of pupils.

All requests for cancellation before the start of the Summer Camp must be justified. Refunds of registration fees will only be accepted for requests made up to 3 working days before the start of the Summer Camp. After this date, no refunds will be made.

Once the Summer Camp has begun, only a medical certificate proving the impossibility of continuing to the end of the camp will justify a request for refund.  In this case, the amount to be refunded will be calculated on a pro rata basis for the remaining days, excluding tickets for outings.

  • Group constitution:

The extracurricular team is responsible for setting up the groups for each camp. The groups are randomly composed.

If your child wishes to be in the same group as another child, please mention this in the comments when registering.

The extracurricular service will do its best to satisfy these requests without guarantee.

Rules

  • Security and discipline:

The school rules apply to all services provided by the APEEE. Children are expected to demonstrate good citizenship and respect the equipment at their disposal. Any damage to equipment caused by a pupil during an activity will be charged to the parents.

Pupils are also responsible for their own belongings, in particular any valuables they bring to the activity. For any lost or forgotten items, please contact the Eureka service: eureka@bru4.eu. The APEEE is not responsible for lost or stolen items, nor for any damage to pupils’ equipment. Pupils are asked to comply with the code of conduct and follow the instructions of their teacher and the APEEE.

Pupils registered for Summer Camp must wait for their teacher at the meeting point and must not enter the activity room without permission.

The APEEE is not responsible if a child does not attend Summer Camp

For sport activities, pupils must wear appropriate footwear and clothing.

Bullying is not tolerated under any circumstances. Any incident of bullying will be reported immediately to the Extracurricular Committee, which will take appropriate action.

Bringing dangerous objects (knives, pocketknives, lasers, etc.) to activities, other than those permitted for medical reasons, is strictly forbidden for pupils and teachers. Furthermore, the Extracurricular Committee and/or the Extracurricular Office reserve(s) the right to take disciplinary action, up to and including exclusion from the activity or the entire camp, against children who fail to comply with the present regulations, and in particular if they are responsible for incidents that endanger the safety of other children, the teacher or any other person. Please note that exclusion from the service does not give entitlement to a refund of the camp.

  • Illness and Accident

To date, the children, as long as they are on the school site, are covered by the school’s insurance. Outside, they are covered by the insurance of the partner with which the APEEE works.

Parents are required to inform the extracurricular service if the pupil suffers from an illness or chronic symptoms (allergy, asthma, diabetes, etc.).

As a rule, no medication will be provided by the extracurricular staff.

In the event of accident or injury during an activity, the extracurricular service will first contact the school infirmary (during opening hours) and inform parents by telephone or e-mail. Outside the infirmary’s opening hours, the extracurricular office will contact the emergency services according to the situation and inform parents by telephone.

For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone 02.474.10.92/99 or by email periscolaire@bru4.eu.
