Mandalas

Activity not launched in 2021-2022

"Do you wish to relax by colouring mandalas? This practice is ideal to end a long day at school, it helps to channel children's energy, to concentrate and to relax.
Their imagination is stimulated and the construction of their own inner world is encouraged. They feel the benefits in both mind and body."

P3-P5 : Monday, 15h10 – 16h10

1st semester

The objective of the first semester is to introduce the children to mandalas. They will colour mandalas representing animals from Europe, Africa and Asia.

Mandalas have many benefits: they calm the mind and body, develop self-confidence, improve concentration, develop fine motor skills and nourish creativity.

The activity promises to set up a wellness routine around mandala colouring by giving children a space and time to relax and colour.

2nd semester

As this activity aims to create a feel-good routine, by the end of the year children will feel calmer and more confident. They will find it easier to concentrate in class and will be able to do fine motor tasks (such as writing) better.

In the second half of the year, children will colour mandalas depicting animals from North America, South America, Australia and Antarctica.
