Gary has a passion for chess and is a meticulous teacher with many years of experience teaching children.
Gary worked 8 years as a volunteer chess teacher for the cultural center in Jette and 7 years in a communal school in Jette as part of the DAS (chess course).
As youth delegate of the “Fous du Roy” club and having participated in several chess tournaments, Gary has won many championships (Belgian Championships, Ostend, 1998; Vielsalm, 1999; Den Hague, 2000; Eupen, 2001; Brugge, 2002; La Louvière, 2003; Butgenbach, 2004; Eupen, 2005).
In 2001, one of his pupils became Belgian champion – girls under 10 category.
