Enrica Sambasile

Enrica is from Italy. She studied Sociological and Political Sciences at the University of Catania and also obtained a Master’s degree in Anthropology at the Université Libre de Bruxelles – U.L.B.

In 2013, she moves to Brussels to start a training course in the management of socio-cultural projects of permanent education, targeting a young and precarious public within a very fragile municipality. This gave her the opportunity to become interested in the socio-cultural sector and in programmes of social cohesion, inclusion and interculturality.

Fond of animation, she has considerable experience with young audiences, also acquired through experience in the pedagogical department of the Fondation de l’Architecture, where she became familiar with the animation of creative workshops for young children.

Enrica’s interest in the educational field led quite naturally to teaching. Since 2017, she has been working in the French-speaking section of the EEB4 in Laeken as a teacher/assistant for children with special needs.

I have a great interest in youth and the various programmes for cultural exchange and education. I am convinced that each student can make a difference, my work not only focuses on the didactic framework but also on social and emotional development, to enable each child to reach his or her full potential. The most important aspect for me is that children learn while having fun and that they remain sensitive to the plurality of the social and multicultural realities that surround them.
