This activities takes place once every two weeks.

The aim of the club is to offer students a diverse and quality selection of books and to organise various book-related activities.

Students will meet every two weeks. They will be encouraged to share their favourites and will learn to write reviews of the books they have read during the club. New books will be presented to them, but they will also have the opportunity to suggest topics they would like to read about.

One of the club’s great opportunities is to participate in Belgian youth literary prizes.  From September to December, the pupils will have the opportunity to read and discuss the selection of the Libbylit prize (the Belgian magazine for children’s literature published by the French-speaking Belgian section of the IBBY – International Board on Books for Young People), junior novel category, and they will vote in January.  Then they will go on to the Bernard Versele prize – 5 owls – for children from 11 years old. Between December and April, they will have to read the 5 selected books and then vote in May.

Another extraordinary activity offered by the club is the possibility of recording an audio book. The children will read aloud the book “Barracuda’s Treasure”.
