Security

Dear fellow parents,

Following the terrorist attacks of 22 March, also the security situation around our school is being reassessed.

We are very concerned about the current situation. The APEEE working group on security has recently been reinforced with new members following the General Assembly, and is an integral part of the APEEE board.
We are committed to ensuring the safety of our children to the extent possible and are currently assessing, together with the school, what changes may be necessary to our operations.

However, since the security level has been downgraded from 4 to 3 on 24 March, the full APEEE service is operated for now, including bus services and periscolaire. We will of course inform you on any possible changes.

On Monday 4 April 2016 the directors of the European schools will meet with the European Commission and the Secretary General of the European schools to discuss whether further changes should be made to the management of the schools regarding security.
The parents associations will participate in this meeting.

We will of course keep you updated on the outcome and possible implications for our school.
