Literary Salon – Patrick McGuinness, Peter Vermeersch, Lieve Joris

Full Circle is organising a literary salon on 25 February 2015 in central Brussels.

Patrick McGuinness, Professor at Oxford University, poet and acclaimed novelist will read extracts from his latest work, Other People’s Countries: A Journey into Memory.
He’ll be joined by Peter Vermeersch, Professor of Politics, Slavist and essayist who has recently authored Ex. Over een land dat zoek is, a swirling, melancholic journey into postwar memory in the former Yugoslavia. A woman who follows in the footsteps of Herodotus, Lieve Joris, completes the trio. She is one of Europe’s leading travel writers who’ll captivate us with stories from her journeys in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Africa and China.
