We are coders

This program is designed for curious and ambitious teenagers who want to go beyond a simple introduction to coding. Inspired by first-year university courses in computer science and information systems management, it provides a genuine academic foundation in programming and computational thinking.

Secondary

with We Are Coders ASBL:

S1-S7, Tuesday: 16h10 – 17h30

The program notably covers:

  • variables and data structures
    • algorithms
    • computational logic
    • conditional structures
    • loops and automation
    • user interaction
    • lists and structured data
    • debugging
    • functions
    • methodical problem-solving

Students are also introduced to broader concepts related to today’s digital world:

  • information systems
    • cybersecurity
    • digital infrastructures
    • data management
    • the strategic role of technology in modern organizations

The objective is not simply to learn programming, but above all to develop a rigorous and analytical way of thinking. The course encourages:

  • critical thinking
    • precision
    • intellectual autonomy
    • analytical skills
    • problem-solving abilities
    • structured communication

Students learn to test hypotheses, understand errors, experiment, and progressively build more complex solutions.
