Originally from France, I moved to Belgium when I was 10 years old. Even as a child, I was very active: I was always on the move, climbing, jumping and constantly needing to burn off energy. In France, I played roller hockey, but when I arrived in Belgium, I couldn’t find anyone playing the sport. My parents then looked for a new activity that would suit my energy levels and my desire to be active.
That is how I discovered parkour at the Brussels Parkour School. Right from my first year, I quickly got hooked on discipline. I wasn’t particularly talented to begin with, but thanks to the guidance of my instructor Tarek and my own perseverance, I gradually learnt to appreciate parkour and to push my limits.
Over the years, parkour has taken on an important role in my life. I have continued to practice, both during lessons and outside them, particularly with my friends. I also began to take a greater interest in physical conditioning, gradually realizing just how important it could be for making progress and preventing injuries in this discipline.
Today, after nearly ten years of practicing, I am keen to pass on to younger people what parkour has taught me. Teaching allows me to share my experience, but also to continue learning from my pupils and to enrich my teaching experience. I particularly enjoy seeing young people make progress, gain self-confidence and realise that they can do things they thought were impossible.
