Laura Velardi

Born in Italy, Laura is Professor of Piano and music education for children.

In 2012, she graduated with a Master’s degree in piano at the F.Morlacchi Conservatory. In 2015, she concludes her master’s degree in Architecture with a thesis in Urban Planning on the soundscape of Rome. She arrives in Belgium in 2017 and continues her studies at the ULB, where she does scientific research on psychoacoustics.

Throughout her life, her interest in sound, acoustic research, piano study and music pedagogy were all inseparable from her artistic performances. In 2018, she deepened her musical knowledge at the Jacques Dalcroze Rhythmics Institute, and in 2019 she began her studies in Piano Didactics at the Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie (IMEP) in Namur.

Her teaching method mixes active listening, creativity, technique and precision, in order to develop the artistic intelligence and musical spirit of each student.
