Athletics

" Train ten times more than others in the shadows to be stronger in the light."
Athletics is a complete sport based on three fundamental skills: running, throwing and jumping. These skills form the basis of many sports activities and allow for the effective development of general physical abilities. The objective of this course is to improve the physical qualities of participants through varied and progressive exercises.

With Jos:

P3-P5 : Monday, 15h10 – 16h10

P1-P2 : Wednesday, 13h30 – 15h00

Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of coordination, relaxation, endurance, strength, speed and reflexes. These skills are essential to progress in athletics and improve your overall performance.

During the year, students will discover and practice different disciplines such as high jump, long jump, hurdle race, sprint, endurance race and relay races.

Beyond the purely sporting aspect, this course also aims to transmit essential values. The different learning situations will encourage everyone to go to the end of their effort, to surpass themselves and to persevere in the face of difficulties. Athletics also requires discipline, rigor and consistency, because progress is based on the repetition of technical gestures and regular training.
