Semester 1: Individual work.
Observation of our environment: school, street, house, private space, public space.
Creation of an individual project. We will start with sketches and come up with a technical plan for a single-family, one-storey house in a plot close to the school. Discuss the environmental impact of our habitat. Selection of materials with low environmental impact on our planet.
Plans, building models in a shoebox, presentation axonometry.
Semester 2: Group work
Presentation of Art Deco architecture in Brussels. We’ll learn to select the architectural elements of façades that define Art Deco in Brussels.
Production of a collective model of “Art Deco facades” to be presented at Performing Arts Day.
